Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses for the Medicine/Step Down Unit 10K. The role offers 36-hour work weeks with both day and night shifts, and a sign-on bonus for experienced nurses or new graduates.

The unit is a 24-bed step-down within a 569-bed tertiary facility with Level I trauma capabilities. ADN is required; BSN or higher preferred, with RN licensure in VA or a compact state and BLS.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN or higher preferred.
• RN VA or Compact State license in good standing.
• BLS certification required.
• New Grad RN and Experienced Nurses welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in a dynamic setting.
• Develop individualized care plans and deliver treatments.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate with families.
• Advocate for best patient outcomes and adherence to evidence-based practices.
