Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Maintenance Technician, Electrician IV to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and automation systems across production, lab, and GMP manufacturing spaces. The role involves coordinating with Facilities, managing spare parts, and ensuring compliance with GMP and safety standards.

The position covers preventive maintenance, troubleshooting critical alarms, and supporting automated packaging and product finishing equipment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in commercial, industrial, healthcare or similar electrical systems.
• Associates degree in electrical, mechanical maintenance, or related field; or high school degree/general education diploma and formal apprenticeship.
• Must hold Wisconsin Master Electrician license and NFPA 70e training or ability to obtain within first year.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and adjust electrical equipment, sensors, controls, wiring systems, and industrial processing systems.
• Provide technical support for building infrastructure, systems, and controls; oversee GMP documentation.
• Enter, prioritize and complete work orders in the CMMS system; review completed work orders.
• Oversee facility and utility systems; manage spare parts and coordinate with internal customers and vendors.
• Support automated fill, cap, and labeling equipment; perform preventive and demand maintenance.
