Job summary

Mativ Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Coating Operator to set up and run coating machines for release liners and substrates in a cleanroom-like environment. You will manage wet and dry ends, handle materials, and ensure adherence to process sheets and quality standards.

The role requires attention to detail, basic math, and English fluency. Training occurs Monday–Thursday; Friday–Sunday night shifts include a 15% differential.

Qualifications

• Sets up coating machine to achieve specified mill thickness and coated width.
• Operates machine parameters (pressure, tension, temperature) as per work orders.
• Performs visual inspection and flags non-conformances during coating.
• Maintains inventory accuracy via data entry in computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate coating machines for wet and dry ends.
• Prepare raw materials (adhesive, solvents, additives) for coating process.
• Move and position materials using lift trucks and related equipment; follow safe lifting practices.
• Enter data into computer systems and maintain inventory accuracy for each job.
• Ensure high quality end products through proper changeovers and routine maintenance.
• Train new operators and assistants in coating processes and safety.
