Job summary

Mativ Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Coating Operator to set up and operate coating machines, applying adhesives to release liners and substrates at our Alpharetta, Georgia facility. The role covers both wet and dry ends, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and product quality.

Training begins Monday-Thursday. A 15% shift differential is included, and the winner will work in a cleanroom-like environment while maintaining ISO procedures and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Sets up coating machine to obtain specified adhesive thickness and coated width.
• Activates and sets pressure, tension, and temperature to start and operate machine per work order.
• Maintain product quality within specifications; visually inspect and flag non-conformances.
• Requires a high school diploma or GED, fluent English, basic math/reading, mechanical aptitude, and data-entry ability.

Responsibilities

• Clean coating machine and prepare materials for processing as directed.
• Prepare raw materials (adhesive, solvents, additives, and liners) for coating at the machine.
• Move and position materials using forklifts and other equipment following safety practices.
• Enter job data into the computer system and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Operate both wet and dry ends of the coater and perform simple maintenance.
• Train new coater operators and assistants as needed.
