Job summary

Rosecrance Walnut – Champaign, IL is seeking an Engagement Specialist for weekend night coverage. The role supports mobile crisis response services in the community and engages individuals hesitant to work with mental health professionals, providing trust-building and resources.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the clinical team, advocating for clients, ensuring documentation, and pursuing CRSS credential opportunities where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or higher education.
• RSA designation required.
• Willingness to serve as a recovery role model.
• Valid drivers license and ability to meet Agency insurance requirements.
• Must have own transportation.
• Belief in the mission of Rosecrance.

Responsibilities

• In partnership with other team members, provide mobile crisis response services in the community when dispatched.
• Support engagement of individuals hesitant to interact with behavioral health professionals or first responders through trust-building and resource provision.
• Actively participate as a partner in design, implementation, and evaluation of crisis solutions.
• Advocate for individuals with professionalism and a collaborative, non-confrontational approach.
• Provide appropriate behavioral interventions and advocacy for individuals experiencing adverse mental health conditions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of community resources and Rosecrance services.
• Provide clients with resources, including referrals to additional treatment when necessary.
• Conduct thorough follow-up communications with clients and/or families and provide additional referrals as required.
