Job summary

Acumed LLC in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Turning Machinist for the Weekend Shift. You will set up and operate 3- and 5-axis mills to produce precision parts, following SOPs and quality standards.

Work weekends (Fri–Sun, 5:00am–5:30pm) with supervision and team support to maintain safety and on-time delivery. The role requires 1–2 years of related Acumed experience or 3–5 years external experience, plus Tooling U or Machining Classes.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years related Acumed experience, or 3-5 years external experience.
• Completion of Tooling U and/or Machining Classes or equivalent.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to read and complete all documentation.
• Demonstrated setup competency on cell-specific machine tools, with acceptable results.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate 3- and 5-axis Mills and set up for production.
• Load and unload parts per standard operating procedures.
• Visually inspect surfaces for quality and monitor machine performance.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep work area clean.
• Collaborate with Senior Machinist and Process Engineers to improve cell processes.
