Job summary

Acumed LLC in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking a Milling Machinist to set up and operate a range of machine tools to produce precision parts. You will load and unload parts according to standard procedures and monitor operations on 3- and 5-axis mills.

Under supervision, you will inspect finished surfaces, maintain clean work areas, and support process improvements with Senior Machinist and Engineers. Requires 1-2 years with Acumed or 3-5 external experience, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years related Acumed experience, or 3-5 years external experience.
• Successful completion of Tooling U and/or enrolled in Machining Classes, or equivalent.
• Mastery of Level 1 competencies on Acumed Machinist Career Ladder and Qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Operates 3- and 5-axis Mills to produce precision parts.
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
• Visually inspects surfaces for flaws and smoothness; maintains cleanliness of work area.
• Performs routine maintenance and set-ups; supports process improvements with Senior Machinist.
