Acumed in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking a Milling Machinist to set up and operate a range of machine tools to produce precision parts. The role demands loading/unloading per SOPs and operates 3- and 5-axis mills, with a weekend shift Fri-Sun 5:00am-5:30pm.

Under supervision, you will monitor performance, inspect parts, perform set-ups, and collaborate with Senior Machinists and Process Engineers to improve cell processes.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years related Acumed experience, or 3–5 years external experience.
• Successful completion of Tooling U and/or enrolled in Machining Classes, or equivalent.
• Mastery of Level 1 competencies on Acumed Machinist Career Ladder and Qualifications.

Responsabilités

• Operates 3- and 5-axis Mills and maintains quality, cost and delivery.
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
• Visually inspects surfaces for flaws and smoothness.
• Empties chip bins and sweeps/cleans work area and equipment.
• Monitors machine performance; performs preventative maintenance as required.
• Performs general set-ups to ensure maximum utilization.
• Works with Senior Machinist and Process Engineers to improve cell processes.
