Job summary

VulcanForms is seeking a Metallographic Lab Technician in Harvard, MA for a weekend shift (Friday - Monday, 7am - 5:30pm). This position entails performing metallographic preparations, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of lab experience, attention to detail, and knowledge in metallography or material sciences. A competitive salary ranging from $26–$38/hour, inclusive of benefits, is offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience working in a laboratory setting.
• Experience performing analysis and tests in a lab setting.
• Ability to see and recognize the full color spectrum and specific qualities under a microscope.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine metallographic preparations including sectioning, grinding, polishing, etching, and imaging samples.
• Organize and maintain lab equipment and supplies.
• Comply with safety protocols and foster a safe work environment.
