Job summary

VulcanForms in Harvard, Massachusetts is looking for a Metallographic Lab Technician for the 3rd shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM) to prepare metallic samples for evaluation in an advanced manufacturing environment. The role requires at least 3 years of lab experience, knowledge in Metallography or Material Sciences, and a strong attention to detail. Candidates will ensure safety protocols are met while performing metallographic preparations. The position offers competitive pay ranging from $26 to $38 per hour, plus benefits including medical insurance and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience working in a laboratory setting.
• Experience performing analysis and tests in a lab setting.
• Knowledge and experience with safe chemical storage and handling.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine metallographic preparations including sectioning and polishing.
• Organize and maintain lab equipment and supplies.
• Directly interact with Engineering team members for project support.
