Job summary

Main Line Health is hiring a 3/4 Weekend Mental Health Technician at Bryn Mawr Hospital. The role works 7PM-7:30AM, assisting in nursing care under RN supervision within an inpatient psychiatric unit and collaborating with the psychiatric team. Requires a High School Diploma; BA in Psychology is preferred.

One year of inpatient psychiatric experience is preferred. BLS certification is preferred within the specified timeframe.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in nursing care under RN supervision to ensure safe, quality care.
• Collaborate with Psychiatric Staff Nurse and follow approved policies.

The Mental Health Technician functions in a collaborative process with the Psychiatric Staff Nurse in accordance with approved policies, procedures and schedules as directed by the Registered Nurse. The Mental Health Technician operating under the license of the Registered Nurse assists in the provision of nursing care with direct supervision by the RN to assure safe and quality nursing care.

Experience:

One year of working experience on an inpatient psychiatric unit or comparable experience preferred.

Education:

High School Diploma required.

BA in Psychology or equivalent degree preferred.

Licensures/Certifications:

BLS Certification by American Heart Association preferred upon hire, required in timeframe specified in CPR (BLS)/ALS/PALS Policy
