Job summary

Main Line Health's Bryn Mawr Hospital seeks a per diem Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists by filling and delivering medication orders, preparing IV medications, and maintaining inventory. You will work closely with a Registered Pharmacist to ensure accuracy and efficiency in a hospital environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and Pharmacy Technician certification or enrollment, with hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have or be enrolled in accredited Pharmacy program.
• Strong math background and computer literacy.
• Ability to learn aseptic technique for IV preparations.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill and deliver medication orders with the pharmacist.
• Prepare IV medications.
• Inspect and organize inventory in the pharmacy.
• Collaborate with the Registered Pharmacist to ensure accuracy.
• Commitment to per diem shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Position:

Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem

Shift:

every other weekend(rotating btw day and evenings) requirements and 2 holidays/year and availability during the week

Experience:

Previous hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred.

Education:

1. High school diploma or equivalent, along with a strong background in math, is required.

2. Ability to learn and become proficient in the use of computers, aseptic technique for IV preparations, and medications routinely stocked in the pharmacy, as necessary.

Licensures/Certifications:

Effective May 1, 2020:

Must be certified Pharmacy Tech or be enrolled in accredited Pharmacy program or progressing towards PharmD.
