Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to assist in administering prescribed medications to residents in our North Houston Transitional Care location. You will follow physician orders, work under supervision, and ensure accurate documentation and labeling of medications.

The role emphasizes patient safety, adherence to facility policies, and collaboration with nursing staff to support resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide having successfully completed a state approved training program and any necessary examination(s).
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials and write reports.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and staff.

Responsibilities

• administer, document, and verify oral/topical medications per physician orders.
• Follow facility policies and report medication errors or adverse reactions.
• Maintain accurate medication labeling, charting, and inventory procedures.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure resident safety and quality of care.
• Participate in QA activities and comply with regulatory inspections.
