Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a high school education or equivalent.
• Licensed Medication Aide with state-approved training and exam(s).
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general information and to document clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administering medications to residents as ordered by attending physician.
• Follow facility policies for medication administration and reporting of errors.
• Maintain documentation and accurately chart medications and vital signs.
• Communicate with nurses, physicians and pharmacists; participate in QA and medication safety programs.
• Ensure medications are properly labeled and stored per policy.
