MercyOne in Newton, IA is seeking a Registered Nurse for weekend shifts in the Med/Surg department. You will provide professional nursing care from admission to discharge and supervise PCTs and Support Assistants on a 23-bed unit.

You will collaborate with physicians, families, and other disciplines to deliver patient-centered care for conditions such as CHF, pneumonia, diabetes, COPD, orthopedic post-surgery recovery, and more.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse from the State of Iowa required.
• Nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Plan and provide professional nursing care from admission to discharge.
• Coordinate care with other disciplines and consult with families.
• Collaborate with physicians on patient care and plans.
• Supervise PCTs and Support Assistants on the unit.
• Care for patients on a 23-bed Med/Surg unit with diverse diagnoses.
