Job summary

KI USA in Berea, KY is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for a weekend shift (Fri-Sun, 12 hours/day) focused on machine maintenance and repair in a manufacturing setting.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical issues, perform preventative maintenance, document actions, and ensure compliance with OSHA and plant policies while using PPE and coordinating with Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in machine maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
• Preventative and corrective maintenance to improve uptime and reliability.
• Electrician certification, CESW and/or Journeyman are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Identify, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical problems on plant facilities and production equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance per defined interval/schedule and documents maintenance work/concerns/resolutions.
• Recognizes and corrects potential equipment failure or unsafe conditions and communicates this to Maintenance Manager.
• Ensures that all work performed meets required codes (OSHA, City and Federal) and is in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
• Utilizes appropriate PPE including safety glasses, face shields, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves and aprons.

Job description

The ideal candidate will have experience in machine maintenance and repair in a manufacturing setting. Experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance leading to increased uptime and reliability, with a focus on safety, proactive mantinance and reduction of downtime. Electrician certificaiton, CESW and/or Journeyman are considered competitive advantages.

Recuriting for weekend shift, Friday-Sunday 12 hours per day, with potential for overtime work

Responsibilities

• Identify, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical problems on plant facilities and production equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance per defined interval/schedule in a timely manner and documents maintenance work/concerns/resolutions in MaintainX; providing action plans and status reports as needed.
• Recognizes and corrects potential equipment failure or unsafe conditions and communicates this to Maintenance Manager.
• Ensures that all work performed meets required codes (OSHA, City and Federal) and is in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
• Utilizes appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, safety glasses, face shields, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves and aprons.

Necessary Skills and Experience

• Proficient math (including fractions and decimals), strong understanding of PLC Logics, basic computer knowledge, remember, reason, analyze, problem solve, and troubleshooting skills.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with other technicians and plant personnel
• Proficency with diagnositic and repair electronic control systems, including PLCs and HMI devices.
• Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLC's and Fanuc robotic arms
• Welding and fabrication skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Abiltiy to maintian a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery
