Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to locate and diagnose problems in mechanical systems, remove and replace parts, and document maintenance activities. You will inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools, read blueprints and diagrams, and perform required preventative maintenance across packaging machinery.

The position reports to the Maintenance Manager with no direct supervisory responsibilities, and requires adherence to Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Vocational school in related subjects desired; mechanical ability.
• Six months or more related experience or training, or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on cup packagers and carton sealing.
• Maintains PMC and Thermoforming Cup Forming Machines.
• Repairs carton sealer and related conveying equipment.
• Completes records, paperwork and follows Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Reads blueprints and technical diagrams; uses measuring tools and conducts inspections.
• Accurately documents maintenance activities and adheres to safety rules.
