Job summary

Amcor seeks a skilled maintenance technician to monitor production machinery, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and perform repairs or part replacements. The role requires reading blueprints, using calipers and micrometers, and ordering parts for service tasks.

You will work across high-speed lines, maintain safety standards, and participate in training of team members. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, plus ability to read drawings and follow safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required - college, technical or vocational education preferred.
• Must be able to read/understand blueprints, drawings, sketches, layouts and manuals.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical controls and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Observes production machinery and troubleshoots mechanical and electrical issues to locate causes and repair them.
• Dismantles machinery and replaces defective parts using hand or power tools.
• Determines and orders materials and parts needed for service/repair of equipment.
• Lubricates and cleans machinery and equipment.
• Maintains safety, housekeeping and follows plant policies.
• Train and mentor department members; learn new skills as training opportunities arise.
