Job summary

The Mechanic position at Amcor in Muscatine, IA, is responsible for locating mechanical sources of problems, dismantling devices, and documenting maintenance. You will perform preventive maintenance on cup packagers, carton sealing equipment, and related machinery, while adhering to safety and lockout procedures.

Ideal candidates read blueprints, have basic measuring skills, and can lift heavy loads. This hourly role offers structured progression based on performance and a Monday–Friday shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational training in related subjects preferred; demonstrated mechanical ability.
• Regularly stand for long periods; lift and move loads as specified.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs on cup packagers and carton sealing.
• Perform preventive maintenance of Paper Machinery (PMC) and Thermoforming Cup Forming Machines.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair of carton sealer and related conveying equipment.
• Properly complete all required records keeping and paperwork; follow Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Read blueprints and technical diagrams; document maintenance performed.
