Job summary

Pratt & Whitney PSD in Springdale, AR is seeking a Welder for 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) with an 8% shift differential. FAA regulated facility with emphasis on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Onsite role with potential overtime after training.

The position requires interpreting weld blueprints, fixture setup, and manual/electron beam welding per defined specs. 2+ years welding experience preferred; HS diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or GED) with at least 2 years of welding-related experience.
• FAA regulated facility compliance and safety protocols.
• Ability to interpret weld blueprints and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Interpret weld blueprints, specifications, and work instructions accurately.
• Prepare and fixture components, ensuring proper alignment, cleanliness, and readiness for welding.
• Perform manual bench and electron beam welding in accordance with defined process parameters and quality standards.
• Monitor equipment and weld conditions, complete inspections, and address or escrow weld defects appropriately.
• Maintain equipment, follow all documentation and traceability requirements, and adhere to weld-specific safety protocols.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
