Job summary

LISI Aerospace in Torrance, CA seeks a Specialty Machine Level I to set up and operate specialty machines to meet company targets. You will work with Multi-spindle, Davenport, Index, CNC, and Euro-turn machines, maintaining competency per skills assessments.

The role requires reading blueprints, performing SPC checks, and maintaining quality while following safety rules. Training and adherence to HSE procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years experience or equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use shop and measuring tools.
• Knowledge of SPC and departmental applications.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains at least 2 automatic multi-spindle screw or CNC machines with minimal supervision.
• Starts machines, observes operation, and inspects first run and sample parts for specifications.
• Performs SPC checks and acts in accordance with results.
• Reads blueprints and tooling instructions to determine spec and tooling requirements.
• Inspects parts using micrometers and gauges to ensure specs are met.
• Keeps records, data entry, housekeeping, and follows safety regulations.
• Complies with Federal, Local, State rules and HSE procedures.
• Attends training and adheres to HSE policies; reports nonconformances promptly.
• Other duties assigned.
