Job summary

Johnson Controls, Silent-Aire division, seeks a Basic Machine Helper to support brake presses, punch turrets, and automated lasers. You will assist with setup, loading, unloading, and general upkeeping to ensure smooth production in fabrication.

Starting pay is $19/hour with a Friday–Sunday shift from 5:00 am to 5:30 pm. Responsibilities include reading tape measures and blueprints, tooling setup, data entry, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Accurate reading of tape measures, gauges, and other test equipment.
• Help set up, load and unload machines and assist machine operators within the Fabrication Department.
• Stack finished product in accordance with manufacturing specifications; unitize for shipping.
• Assist in bending/cutting of raw materials.
• Participating in reducing waste, teamwork, and maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Unloading, loading material, and assisting the operator.
• Support the setup of tooling and dies.
• Maintain cleanliness around the machine area, including tools and equipment.
• Computer data entry.
• Ensuring proper labeling.
