Job summary

Johnson Controls, through Silent-Aire, is hiring a Basic Machine Helper in Phoenix, AZ. You will support brake presses, punch turrets, and automated lasers by helping with setup, loading, unloading, and general upkeep to keep production running smoothly.

Starting pay is $19 per hour, with daily shifts from 2:00 pm to 12:30 am. The role requires basic math, tape measure reading, safety awareness, and the ability to stand for long periods while performing repetitive tasks and assisting skilled

Qualifications

• Prescreen assessment required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints (preferred).
• Ability to lift and move materials safely.
• Standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
• Basic computer and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Read tape measures, gauges, and other test equipment.
• Set up, load and unload machines; assist machine operators.
• Stack finished product according to specs and prepare for shipping.
• Assist in bending and cutting raw materials.
• Participate in waste reduction and team problem solving.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness around machines.
• Read technical drawings when required.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• Prescreen assessment required.
