Job summary

West State Street is seeking a Weekend Supervisor (LPN) to lead our team on Saturdays and Sundays from 7am to 7pm with on‑call responsibility Friday through Monday. The role carries 24‑hour accountability and requires an active nursing license and long-term care leadership experience.

Responsibilities include clinical leadership, staffing oversight, and collaboration with the DON to ensure regulatory compliance and patient safety, while supporting professional development and a culture of

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved practical or vocational nursing program.
• Current license by the State Board of Nursing is required.
• Minimum three years full-time clinical experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• One year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity preferred.
• English language fluency in reading, writing, speaking and comprehension.
• TB test verification required by state law; maintain BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekend clinical operations with 24-hour accountability and DON collaboration.
• Mentor nursing staff and ensure effective intershift communication.
• In DON's absence, assume duties and provide hands-on clinical support.
• Oversee staffing, budgeting, performance evaluations and promotions as needed.
• Lead quality improvement, policy compliance and thorough discharge planning.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
