Job summary

Momentum is a local, family-oriented company in Jacksonville, FL. The Operations Specialist – Weekends role covers after-hours weekend operations (Thursday through Sunday, 6pm–5am) and is responsible for scheduling, dispatching, and ensuring customer requirements are fully met.

The position requires AS400 experience, proficiency with MS Office, strong communication, and robust problem-solving ability. A high school diploma is needed; college degree is preferred. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• AS400 experience required.
• Proficient with computer and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team-oriented.
• Excellent problem-solving and follow-through abilities.
• Self-directed with initiative and ability to work independently.
• Understanding of basic supply chain concepts.

Responsibilities

• Complete accurate and timely scheduling and dispatching of trucks to meet customer demands.
• Negotiate with transportation providers for best rates and service.
• Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery and provide up-to-date information (track & trace).
• Communicate service issues to appropriate personnel and departments.
• Update and maintain transportation management and operations systems.
• Prioritize tasks to focus on issues impacting quality and service performance.
• Adhere to standards on customer satisfaction, accuracy, and timeliness.
