Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our Skilled Nursing team. The RT will assess and treat residents, initiate therapies, document care, and participate in bedside therapies to support geriatric residents.

Candidates must graduate from a COARC-accredited program, hold an AS or BS in Respiratory Therapy, be licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state, and maintain BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; licensed as RRT or CRT.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to evaluate and treat independently without supervision.
• Experience in geriatric or long-term care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques for rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments and document daily activities.
• Attend IDT meetings and participate in care planning.
• Follow facility policies and procedures for all interventions.
• Described interventions include oxygen weaning, chest therapy and CPAP.
