Job summary

Vertiv in Pelzer, SC is seeking a driven Production Supervisor for the Weekend Shift to lead the on-site production team and ensure safe, efficient completion of output according to schedules and quality standards.

You will manage staffing, drive continuous improvement, coordinate with engineering, quality, and maintenance, and report shift metrics while upholding safety policies and lean practices. The role requires weekend hours Fri-Sun 6:00 am–6:00 pm with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of leadership experience in manufacturing or similar operations.
• Ability to lead teams and manage daily production priorities with safety focus.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing safety, OSHA, PPE and incident reporting.
• Ability to read work instructions, schedules, drawings and SOPs.
• Willingness to work Fri-Sun 6:00 am–6:00 pm and overtime as needed.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Responsibilities

• Lead weekend shift production employees and meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
• Staff production areas and allocate workforce based on schedules and priorities.
• Ensure adherence to work instructions, blueprints and quality checkpoints.
• Lead daily shift Tier meetings to share targets and updates.
• Monitor performance, coach staff, and address attendance or conduct concerns.
• Direct workflow ensuring materials and tools are available for safe, efficient work.
• Conduct shift-change briefings and review staffing and status.
• Respond to production issues and coordinate with support teams to minimize downtime.
• Monitor labor hours and optimize overtime through planning.
• Ensure shift readiness and cross-functional collaboration.
