Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a hands-on supervisor to oversee day-to-day production activities in multiple manufacturing cells. You will work with cell leads to ensure resources are available to meet scheduled jobs and deliver quality products on time.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety, coaching staff, planning by priority, implementing process improvements, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with planning, engineering, quality, purchasing, and customer service to optimize production

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 10–15 years of progressive operational and management experience.
• Experience in manufacturing of Medical Device and Semiconductor equipment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Proven track record in managing manufacturing operations, engineering and quality assurance.
• Willing to provide supervisory support above normal hours and weekends as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day production activities in various manufacturing cells.
• Work with leads to ensure all scheduled jobs have the resources needed to meet customer deliver dates.
• Establish and maintain safe working environment.
• Develop and plan jobs by setting priority and assigning appropriate skill level.
• Implement processes to improve ability to produce a quality product in spec and on time.
• Communicate and implement company policies, procedures, and objectives.
• Provide technical assistance, guidance, and instructions to leads.
• Continuous improvement using DMAIC or PDCA cycles.
• Review machine programs, tooling, and setups to ensure optimum output.
• Coordinate production with other departments to optimize schedules and production.
• Maintain interface with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Customer Service to optimize production.
• Aim for safety, quality, productivity and cost reduction.
