Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester is seeking a part-time Foodservice Utilities Worker for North Pavilion. This Non-Exempt, 16-hour role offers a mixed shift with a Friday, Monday and every-other-weekend schedule and a 6:30am-3pm window.

You will perform dishwashing, sanitation, patient-tray retrieval and stocking, supporting patient services in a fast-paced hospital kitchen. The job requires following standard procedures, lifting up to 30 lb and pushing/pulling up to 300 lb, and assisting in

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Understanding of basic weights and measures.
• Ability to stoop and lift 30 pounds and push and pull 300 pounds.
• Ability to follow standard procedures and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Performs dishwashing and pot washing duties with sanitation of kitchen equipment.
• Retrieves soiled patient trays and inventories supplies in unit kitchens.
• Assists in training other food service workers and maintains clean work areas.
• Operates ware washing machines and keeps work areas safe and orderly.
• Cleans equipment, floors, walls and ceilings per standard procedures.
