Job summary

UMass Memorial Health’s Memorial Campus in Worcester is seeking a Food Service Utilities Worker for a 12-hour mixed shift. The role involves dishwashing, pot washing, sanitation of the main kitchen and equipment, and retrieving soiled patient trays.

You will assist in stocking supplies, inventory management, and training other food service workers while maintaining a clean, safe work environment. This is a part-time, on-site role with potential for additional shifts as departmental needs arise.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to follow standardized instructions and procedures.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Understanding of basic weights and measures.
• Understanding of basic mathematical functions.
• Ability to stoop and lift 30 pounds and push and pull 300 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up, stock and sanitize workstations per procedures.
• Collect and dispose of refuse per policy; hand wash pots/pans.
• Clean steam kettles, grills, ovens, carts, hoods, refrigerators, trays, floors, walls, ceilings.
• Store foods, paper and chemicals; rotate and date items; restock perishables.
• Clean work area and assist in facility maintenance; report hazards.
