Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring for a food services kitchen role focused on dishwashing, sanitation, and tray retrieval. The position requires ability to follow standard procedures, read and speak English, and handle physical tasks including lifting and moving heavy items.

Training and alignment with department goals are emphasized in a team-driven environment. The role is non-exempt with a 4 - mixed shift schedule, generally 3:30-8 but may vary; regular weekends and holidays apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow standardized instructions.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Understanding of basic weights and measures.
• Understanding of basic mathematical functions.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and push and pull 300 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Complete setup, stock and sanitation of workstations following standard procedures.
• Collect and dispose of all refuse; hand washes pots/pans and operates ware washing machines.
• Clean steam kettles, grills, ovens, carts, hood, refrigerators, and related equipment.
• Store supplies and rotate perishables; maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Maintain work area and report hazards to supervisor.
