Job summary

Covenant HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide leadership and direct patient care across the hospital units. The role emphasizes safety, education, and coordination of care with physicians and families.

You will collaborate with care teams, manage assessments, plan discharge, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in a fast-paced environment. This position requires ACLS and BLS certification with Michigan RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduation from NLN-accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nurse with Michigan licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS within 1 year of hire.
• Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supports patient flow through adherence to unit and Patient Services policies.
• Cooperates with 24-hour staffing and scheduling needs for care in all inpatient units.
• Communicates with patients and families professionally and courteously.
• Assists with bedside procedures in critical care settings.
• Educates patients and families based on diagnosis and home care needs.
• Documents patient care observations in the electronic medical record.
• Leads Code Blue team and acts as ACLS RN as needed.
• Maintains patient rights, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
