Job summary

Covenant HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead care teams, assess patients, and coordinate plans of care during hospital stays. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to ensure safety, quality, and positive patient outcomes.

This role emphasizes patient education, discharge planning, and adherence to clinical guidelines. The position requires Michigan RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an NLN-accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nurse with current licensure in the State of Michigan.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS required within 1 year of hire or transfer.
• Attends unit conferences, in-service programs and continuing education activities.

Responsibilities

• Leads and coordinates care with the care team, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Performs assessments and develops goal-directed plans of care.
• Delivers medications as per guidelines and documents observations in the EHR.
• Communicates with patients and families in a professional, therapeutic manner.
• Participates in quality management and regulatory compliance.
• Supports discharge planning and patient education.
