Job summary

Boston Medical Center Brighton is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our 38-bed multi-specialty ICU. You will provide patient-centered care in a collaborative team and support ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities include critical care nursing, care planning, documentation in patient records, and coordination with inter-professional colleagues while upholding unit policies.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
• 2 years of RN experience in a med/surg setting preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification required.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred). ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the ICU unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records; enter and interpret computerized data.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by the nursing department.
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects.
