Job summary

Boston Medical Center Brighton is seeking a Registered Nurse for our 38-bed multi-specialty ICU. You will provide patient-centered care in a collaborative environment, supporting quality and safety initiatives while working weekends and night shifts to meet unit needs.

The role requires MA RN licensure, 2 years med/surg RN experience, and BLS/ACLS certifications. A Diploma/ASN/BSN is expected with a plan to obtain BSN within four years; ICU experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts
• 2 years RN experience in med/surg setting
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred)
• ICU experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the ICU unit, including assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education
• Communicate with healthcare team, patients, and families
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Update and manage patient records
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information
• Follow nursing department guidelines and policies
• Assist leadership with quality improvement projects
