Job summary

Boston Medical Center Brighton is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our multi-specialty ICU. The ICU supports a collaborative nursing team delivering patient-centered care in a 38-bed unit. You will provide high-quality care with opportunities to develop new competencies and advance professionally.

The position requires MA RN licensure, 2 years of med/surg RN experience, BLS and ACLS, and a nursing degree. Weekend 24-hour day shifts and supported professional growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts (RN).
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in med/surg setting.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the ICU, including assessment, care planning, intervention, evaluation, and education.
• Communicate with health care team, patients and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data.
• Follow departmental guidelines and policies.
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects.
