Job summary

Boston Medical Center Brighton is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU. The 38-bed multi-specialty ICU offers opportunities to advance clinical skills and participate in high-level patient care.

You will join a collaborative nursing team focused on evidence-based practice, with weekend-day shifts and a supportive environment for training and growth. A strong commitment to patient-centered care is expected.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in a med/surg setting.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• ICU experience preferred; strong communication and physical stamina

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the ICU unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Update and manage patient records
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information
• Follow guidelines and policies established by nursing department
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects
