Job summary

Boston Medical Center Brighton is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our 38-bed ICU. You will provide patient-centered care in a collaborative, high-acuity environment and support continuous improvement in clinical practice.

Requirements include MA RN licensure, 2 years of med/surg RN experience, BLS/ACLS certifications, and a BSN is preferred with a plan to obtain BSN within 4 years. ICU experience is preferred. The unit emphasizes professional growth and evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts.
• 2 years of RN experience in a med/surg setting.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the ICU unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
• Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Update and manage patient records
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information
• Follow guidelines and policies established by our nursing department
• Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
