GJELINA GROUP is seeking a Server to join the team in Los Angeles. Open availability for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts, with a salary range of $17.87 per hour plus tips.

The role emphasizes hospitality, teamwork, and handling a fast-paced dining room with attention to guest needs. As part of the team, you will maintain high standards of appearance, knowledge of menus, and strong communication with guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be organized, self-motivated, and proactive with a strong attention to detail.
• Full knowledge of all in-house food and beverage menus.
• Ability to use all relevant items of equipment.
• Understanding, knowledge, and ability to comply with safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Ability to use the restaurant point of sale system.
• Ability to prioritize work activities, provide accurate information and assistance to any management or colleagues' request in a timely and courteous manner.
• Ability to keep calm when faced with any unusual situations.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.

Responsibilities

• Report for duty on time and clock in with the timeclock.
• Manage time including breaks in compliance with state Labor Law.
• Maintain high standards of appearance and hygiene at all times.
• Adhere to health, safety, alcohol control and sanitation protocols.
• Know regulars and encourage new guests to become regulars.
• Organize, clean, and maintain all server stations.
• Communicate with all service staff and management for smooth service.
• Prepare the floor for opening/closing including stocking, cleaning, preparing.
• Attend to guest needs and take/serve orders.
• Run food, drinks, and bus tables in your section.
• Complete all assigned side work pre and post shift.
• Attend trainings and pre-shift meetings.
• Know cocktail and wine knowledge to assist guests.
• Know food menu ingredients, vendors and farmers.
• Communicate guest allergies to manager.
• Understand floorplan, tables, seats.
• Support management in in-house service and events.
