Job summary

Gjelina Group in Los Angeles is hiring a Floor Support Associate to keep service flowing, buss and reset tables, assist in fulfilling beverage and food orders, and provide full operational support to Expediter, Servers, and Managers.

You should have 1–2 years restaurant experience, be calm under pressure, and willing to work flexible weekends and nights; a high standard of appearance and knowledge of menu items are expected, with tips and a $18–$20/hour wage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years restaurant or related experience.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of health, safety, alcohol control and sanitation protocols.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and nights.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must understand how to abide by the rules of the Department of Health related to Food Service.

Responsibilities

• Report for duty on time and clock in/out, manage time and breaks in compliance with California Labor Law.
• Maintain high standards of appearance and hygiene.
• Knowledge of all dishes on the menu and ingredients.
• Assist in serving and delivering food and beverages to guests.
• Prepare floor openings/closings, stock and reset stations.
• Attend trainings and pre-shift meetings.
• Support management in all aspects of in-house service and events.
