Job summary

Peoples Hospice and Palliative Care is seeking a Weekend Hospice RN to provide after-hours coverage and coordinate patient care over weekends. The role requires a Florida or multi-state RN license, CPR certification, and availability for Friday evening to Monday morning shifts.

Experience in hospice or home health is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required. The RN will assess patients, coordinate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, and ensure timely access to hospice

Qualifications

• Current Florida or multi-state RN license is required.
• Two years of RN experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is required.
• Availability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekend hospice nursing coverage from Friday 5:00 p.m. to Monday 8:00 a.m.
• Coordinate referrals, evaluations, and admissions with physicians and the IDT.
• Assess patient and family needs and implement plan of care.
• Maintain up-to-date patient records with accurate problems, plans, actions and goals.
