Job summary

Three Oaks Hospice is seeking an On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) for weekend coverage in North Dallas area including Rockwall, TX. You will deliver skilled nursing care in patients’ homes, coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, and support families with compassionate, expert nursing services.

The role requires an RN license, CPR certification, and at least two years of clinical nursing experience (hospice/home health preferred).

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Associate or bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Current state license as an RN and current state driver’s license.
Two years’ experience as an RN in a clinical care setting; hospice or home health experience preferred.
Current CPR certification.
Proficient skill using a computer is required; Microsoft office suite experience is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide effective support to the patient and family.
Demonstrate skill in nursing practice, ability to cope with family emotional stress and tolerance of individual lifestyles.

Responsibilities

Administer skilled nursing care for clients in their place of residence.
Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, patient/family and referring agency; and assume responsibility for coordination of care.
Contribute to care planning and documentation to support patient comfort and safety.
Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered care during hospice services.
