Job summary

Ohio's Hospice in Columbus, OH is seeking compassionate RNs and LPNs for extended weekend hours to support patients and families at the end of life. This driving role serves patients across Columbus with a focus on comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Weekend shifts are 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday, with driving responsibilities. Applicants must have an active Ohio RN or LPN license, CPR certification, and a commitment to compassionate care within hospice standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active Ohio RN or LPN license in good standing with no current board actions.
• BSN preferred for RN candidates.
• Two years of acute‑care nursing experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Hospice and Palliative Care certification (CHPN) preferred.
• Computer skills sufficient to accurately document patient care and services.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to maintain the state's minimum required automobile insurance coverage.
• Ability to drive during daytime hours and in inclement weather.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Successful completion of a 10‑panel drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, care planning, interventions, implementation, and evaluation.
• Assess patient needs and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Provide compassionate care focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
• Maintain professional nursing standards and follow hospice care practices.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient and family needs.
