Job summary

Ohio's Hospice, Inc. seeks compassionate RNs and LPNs to provide hospice care during extended weekend hours in the Columbus area. The role involves driving between patients and delivering high-quality, compassionate care with a focus on comfort and dignity.

Position requires weekend availability (Sat-Sun, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM), driving in varying weather, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. Ohio licensure, CPR, and a nursing degree are essential; CHPN preferred. Benefits available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active Ohio RN or LPN license in good standing with no board actions.
• BSN preferred for RN candidates.
• Two years of acute-care nursing experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Hospice and Palliative Care certification (CHPN) preferred.
• Computer skills sufficient to document patient care.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to drive during daytime hours and in inclement weather.
• Criminal background check and 10-panel drug screen completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, interventions, evaluation).
• Assess patient needs and respond to changes in condition.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide compassionate care focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
• Maintain professional nursing standards and hospice care practices.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient and family needs.

Skills

Active OH RN/LPN license

BSN preferred for RN

Two years acute-care experience

CPR certification

CHPN preferred
