Job summary

Ohio’s Hospice, Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking compassionate RN/LPNs to provide high-quality hospice care during extended weekend hours. The role covers Columbus and Newark, with driving between patient locations.

The position requires an active Ohio RN or LPN license, CPR, and a commitment to patient- and family-centered care. Weekend Saturdays and Sundays shifts apply; driving is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active Ohio RN or LPN license in good standing with no current board actions.
• BSN preferred for RN candidates.
• Two years of acute-care nursing experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Hospice and Palliative Care certification (CHPN) preferred. Certification support available.
• Basic computer skills with electronic documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and the care team.
• Deliver care per nursing standards and hospice best practices.

Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dependable RNs/LPNs to provide high-quality hospice care during extended weekend hours. This role is ideal for a nurse who is committed to supporting patients and families through the end-of-life journey and who understands the importance of compassionate, patient-centered care.

Schedule & Service Area

• Saturdays and Sundays
• Driving position serving patients throughout Columbus and Newark
• Must be comfortable driving during daytime, nighttime, and inclement weather

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Deliver care in accordance with professional nursing standards and hospice best practices.
• Accurately document patient care, services provided, and clinical information.
• Promote comfort, dignity, and quality of life for patients and their families.

• Ability to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screening.
