Job summary

Action Health Staffing is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for Saturdays, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM in the Rocky Mount area. The role provides direct patient care at the patient’s home, including personal care, transfers, meals, and light housekeeping, under supervision.

Ideal candidates maintain DFS certification and have a high school diploma or GED, with strong communication and compassionate care skills to support patients at home.

Qualifications

• Maintain certification with DFS.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess effective communication skills to read, write and follow directions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting.
• Must have sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as assigned.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
• Provide basic nursing care and prescribed exercises as instructed by supervising professionals.
• Prepare meals with consideration of client dietary needs.
• Provide companionship and activities tailored to each client.
• Light housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Maintain complete and accurate records required by agency.
• Record and report changes in client's condition.
• Complete EVV tasks for Aide Plan or EVV timesheet.
• Demonstrate dependability by punctual reporting.
• Follow Plan of Care and never administer medications.
