Job summary

Action Health Staffing is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for a Saturday shift in the Rocky Mount area. The role provides home care in the client’s residence, focusing on direct patient care, personal hygiene, and assistance with daily living activities.

The CNA will work under supervision, adhere to the Plan of Care, document patient conditions, and collaborate with a care team to ensure high-quality health care while respecting patient privacy and rights.

Qualifications

• Maintain DFS certification.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Effective communication including reading, writing and following directions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending and standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as assigned.
• Provide personal hygiene care and support daily living activities.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
• Provide basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
• Prepare meals considering client preferences and special diets.
• Provide companionship and engage in client-specific activities.
• Light housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Maintain complete and accurate records per agency requirements.
• Record and report changes in client condition.
• Complete tasks in EVV app per Aide Plan, or time sheets as needed.
• Demonstrate dependability by punctual reporting.
• Adapt to client and family value systems.
• Assist in promoting independence within client abilities.
• Follow the Plan of Care and never administer medications.
