Backhaul Direct is seeking a Weekend Operations Specialist to own weekend and after-hours coverage. You’ll coordinate with carriers, customers, and internal teams to keep freight moving, protect service commitments, and quickly resolve issues.

You will work remotely on weekends, with in-office hours on select weekdays, ensuring dependable coverage and precise operational records. Strong communication and independent work ethics are essential.

Qualifikationen

• 3–5 years in transportation, logistics, freight brokerage, or related field.
• Experience managing carrier and customer relationships in fast-paced ops.
• Knowledge of driver vetting and transportation compliance.
• Strong judgment and problem-solving; know when to escalate.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and follow-through.
• Able to work remotely from home without supervision.

Aufgaben

• Serve as primary contact for weekend and after-hours coverage.
• Coordinate scheduling, load status, and service with carriers and customers.
• Book loads, cover bounced loads, and secure replacement capacity.
• Monitor active freight and provide timely updates.
• Vet drivers for compliance before assigning or covering loads.
• Escalate unresolved issues with context and next steps.
• Maintain accurate records of communications and decisions.
