Cowboy’s Logistics is seeking a Weekend Operations Manager to lead the weekend logistics operations and serve as the primary point of accountability during weekend shifts. You will ensure operational continuity, team performance, proactive communication, and consistent service execution across all active shipments.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can manage a fast-paced transportation environment, prioritize time-sensitive situations, and guide a team through day-to-day operations

Responsibilities

• Lead & Manage Weekend Operations: Oversee the weekend operations team, ensuring procedures, service expectations, and performance standards are met.
• Shipment Tracking & Service Performance: Maintain visibility across active shipments, ensure proactive tracking, and timely customer communication.
• Problem Solving & Escalation: Serve as the primary escalation point for delays, disruptions, and coverage issues with timely direction.
• Customer Account Support: Manage creation and handling of customer shipments with achievable service commitments.
• Carrier Coverage & Compliance: Support carrier sourcing and coverage while ensuring safety and compliance requirements.
• Coverage & Market Awareness: Source capacity, assess market conditions, prioritize urgent freight, secure coverage.
• Team Accountability: Monitor performance, reinforce procedures, and address issues to protect customers.
• Shift Hand-off & Continuity: Ensure thorough communication between shifts and document outstanding issues.

This position serves as the primary point of accountability during weekend shifts and is responsible for ensuring operational continuity, team performance, proactive communication, and consistent service execution across all active shipments. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can effectively manage a fast-paced transportation environment, prioritize multiple time-sensitive situations, and guide a team through day-to-day operations and unexpected challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead & Manage Weekend Operations: Provide direct oversight and support to the weekend operations team, ensuring company procedures, service expectations, and performance standards are consistently met.
• Shipment Tracking & Service Performance: Maintain visibility across active shipments and ensure proactive tracking, accurate system updates, timely customer communication, and strong on-time pickup and delivery performance.
• Problem Solving & Escalation Management: Serve as the primary escalation point for carrier delays, service disruptions, coverage issues, and other customer-impacting situations, providing timely direction and resolution.
• Customer Account Support: Oversee the accurate creation and management of customer shipments while ensuring service commitments are achievable, properly communicated, and documented.
• Carrier Coverage & Compliance: Support and oversee carrier sourcing and load coverage while ensuring carriers meet company requirements for safety, compliance, equipment, capacity, and service reliability.
• Coverage & Market Awareness: Guide the team in effectively sourcing capacity, evaluating market conditions, prioritizing urgent freight, and proactively securing coverage for current and upcoming shipments.
• Team Accountability: Monitor individual and team performance, reinforce operational procedures, identify potential service risks, and ensure issues are addressed before they impact customers.
• Shift Hand-off & Operational Continuity: Ensure thorough communication between shifts by reviewing at-risk shipments, documenting outstanding issues, and clearly communicating required follow-up actions.
