Job summary

Redwood Logistics LLC is seeking an Afterhours and Weekend Carrier Sales Representative to identify, source, and develop strong relationships with service providers across North America. This full-time role focuses on maximizing profitability and customer satisfaction while coordinating between customers, carriers, and internal teams.

You will manage load life cycle and freight updates, negotiate rates, and maintain carrier relations to ensure efficient, reliable service.

• Flexible; able to adapt to market conditions and company needs.
• Logistical planning, routing or dispatch experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, source, and develop strong business relationships with service providers to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Track load life cycle from shipment to delivery with emphasis on inbound & outbound phone calls and digital tracking.
• Communicate freight updates to customers and internal carrier/operations teams.
• Provide and negotiate freight rates with motor carriers to maximize daily/weekly/monthly profitability.
• Coordinate available customer freight with available motor carrier equipment.
• Maintain files of open truck shipments and records of trailers in assigned areas.
• Communicate with motor carriers to schedule trucks and resolve issues.
• Verify freight charges and reconcile payables discrepancies prior to payment.
